🎨 Jai Walker
Bundjalung artist Jai Walker began working at Casino’s Jambama Aboriginal Art studio and gallery in 2007. His account links him with family Country around Mallanganee, while his paintings often bring ancestors and older people into view. Largely self-taught, he experiments with techniques rather than limiting himself to a single fixed approach. The portraits place particular emphasis on faces and eyes, giving his subjects a strong presence. Casino is a working connection in that artistic development: the studio provided a setting in which family memory, cultural identity and the practical business of making art could meet.
